Virginia Interfaith Power and Light held its first Cool the City Climate Connector workshop in August 2025, bringing together Richmonders from various faith communities to discuss the impacts of urban heat, extreme weather, and flooding. In the coming months, the participating faith communities will learn together via a series of workshops before planning and implementing urban greening projects in neighborhoods across Richmond.
